📚 2nd Grade Verb Tense Fun! 📚
2nd grade played a Scattergories-inspired verb tense game today! 🎉
Our student teacher, Mrs. Jones, came up with such a fun and engaging lesson to practice past, present, and future tense verbs.
Students worked in pairs with different colored sticky notes for each verb tense. They came up with different verbs for each tense and then challenged their partners to come up with the other tenses of the word!
It was such a fun way to get students thinking, collaborating, and practicing their verb tenses while having a little friendly competition! 💙💛

Fifth grade has been learning about chemical changes and chemical reactions. Today, we got to see first hand how mixing vinegar and baking soda creates a gas that filled our balloons.
✏️🧮 Multiplication facts + sunshine + sidewalk chalk = a pretty great afternoon! ☀️
Our 3rd graders took their learning outside today to practice their ×5 multiplication facts! They worked together, wrote facts with chalk, and got a little fresh air while building those math fact fluency skills. 💚
Who says practicing multiplication has to happen at a desk?! 😉
💚 Happy Custodian Appreciation Day! 💚 We are SO thankful for our wonderful custodians here at Spring Bluff! Our custodial crew, headed by Mr. Richard, along with Amanda and Jared, works hard every single day to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for our students and staff. We truly appreciate each of you more than you know! 🧹✨ To show just how much they mean to us, our 2nd graders created and colored the sweetest pictures for our custodians. Their thoughtful artwork was the perfect way to say THANK YOU for all that you do! 🥰🎨 We are so lucky to have such an amazing custodial team at Spring Bluff! Is goop a solid or liquid? This is the question 5th grade students answered today during a Science Lab exploring the states of matter. Goop is made of one part water to two parts corn starch. Students learned that some matter can have properties of more than one state of matter. In the case of Goop, this is known as a Non-Newtonian Fluid.

Congratulations to the Spring Bluff 6th Grade Girls Volleyball team on a great showing at the Lonedell Tournament on Friday, September 11! The Lady Pirates battled hard throughout the tournament and finished in 3rd place.

🇺🇸 Today, our third graders learned about and remembered 9/11, honoring the heroes and the spirit of patriotism that followed. These three were all out with their red, white, and blue today! ❤️🤍💙 Never forget. 🇺🇸
