🎉 Grades 3-5 Reward Trip to Meramec Caverns! 🚌🪨
This week, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders took an exciting trip to Meramec Caverns as a special reward for their hard work, great behavior, and dedication this semester!
From exploring the incredible underground formations to learning about the natural history and geology of the caverns, students had a blast while discovering one of Missouri’s most famous natural wonders. The guided tour sparked lots of curiosity and excitement .
We’re so proud of our students for earning this experience through their positive attitudes and commitment to learning. Trips like these are a fun reminder that hard work really does pay off!

On Monday, October 13, our 5th Grade students were “operating” at PEMDAS Hospital, performing a series of math operations to put their learning into practice. As part of our unit on the order of operations, students worked in pairs to solve problems of varying levels of difficulty—while fully dressed in doctor gear!

This week, our amazing third graders dove into the fascinating world of force and motion through a hands-on project! They put their creativity to the test by designing and building their very own marble mazes. 🎨🔧
Students explored concepts like gravity, friction, and acceleration while having a blast! The mazes were not only fun to create but also helped reinforce their understanding of how forces work in our everyday life.

📚✨ A special thank you to Ms. Liz from the Sullivan Library for visiting our kindergarten classes yesterday! The students were absolutely delighted by story time and loved every minute of it. There's nothing quite like a good book and a great storyteller to spark young imaginations. ❤️📖

Yesterday our second graders got to enjoy some pumpkin punch! 🎃 We’ve been learning about states of matter, so they used sherbet and orange soda to identify solids, liquids, and gases — all while enjoying a tasty fall treat!
🚒🔥 This Monday, our Kindergarten and 1st Grade students had some very special visitors — the local Fire Department! As part of Fire Prevention Week, firefighters stopped by to talk with our students about fire safety and even gave them a tour of the fire truck! 🧯👨🚒

Our kindergarteners had an amazing day exploring our local community! From visiting the fire station 🚒 to having duck races at the hospital , the kids learned all about the important people who help make our town a great place to live.
They asked thoughtful questions, practiced their best manners, and had tons of fun along the way — including a picnic lunch at the park! 🧺🌳
Huge thanks to our wonderful community helpers and our awesome parent chaperones for making this day so special. These little learners came back full of smiles, stories, and a greater appreciation for the world around them. ❤️

This week, 5th grade students have been exploring the states of matter—solid, liquid, and gas—by examining their unique properties. As part of this study, students created Oobleck (a mixture of cornstarch and water) and discovered that some substances can display characteristics of more than one state. They also expanded their understanding by learning about viscosity and Non-Newtonian fluids.
